
A team of senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party State unit will leave for New Delhi on Thursday evening to greet Amit Shah on his appointment as the party’s national president and invite him to the party’s State executive to be held in Mysore.
According to a senior leader, the delegation will comprise leaders of the Opposition in the Assembly and the Council Jagadish Shettar and K.S. Eshwarappa respectively and the former Deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok.
The team would meet Mr. Shah on Friday.
The State executive, which was scheduled to be held in Mysore on July 12 and 13, has been put off after the appointment of Mr. Shah as the national president so as to facilitate him to take part in it.
The then national president Rajnath Singh had agreed to attend the State executive.
