COMEDK scam
Home Minister K.J. George has said that the Criminal Investigation Department and the Central Crime Branch were looking into cases of impersonation during COMEDK tests. “The police have been given a free hand in the investigations,” he said, adding that strict action will be initiated against those involved in the scam.

On writer U.R. Ananthamurthy’s request for security from the government, Mr. George said that every individual had the right to state his opinion and if they required security, the government would provide it.
