Siddaganga Math seer turns 107

The 107th birthday of Shivakumara Swami, seer of Siddaganga Math, was celebrated here on Tuesday.

Sumitra Gandhi, granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, who visited the math and sought the blessings of the swami, said it was a memorable moment for her.

She said she was inspired by the work done by the seer, who was providing education to a large number of youngsters at the math.

Dignitaries, including BJP candidate from the Chickballapur Lok Sabha constituency B.N. Bache Gowda, the former Minister Ramachandregowda, BJP candidate in Tumkur G.S. Basavaraj, Congress candidate in Tumkur S.P. Muddahanumegowda, and Rafiq Ahmed, MLA, visited the math and greeted the seer.

BJP candidate from Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency Ananth Kumar, the former Minister V. Somanna, and president of the BJP district unit Suresh Gowda visited the math and offered prayers to mark Ugadi on March 31.
