BANGALORE: A 35-year-old private company employee died on the spot after a speeding truck knocked down his motorbike near Kaggalahalli on Kanakapura Road, Ramanagaram Rural, on Saturday night.
The deceased is Rajesh Kumar alias Raja of Gottigehalli. The accident occurred at around 9pm near Kagganahalli Cross when Rajesh, an employee of a factory in Konanakunte, was riding back home after work.
“Rajesh was riding a Bajaj Pulsar when the sand truck knocked him down. Rajesh died on the spot as the truck wheels crushed him. Identifying the body was difficult as the documents and the driving licence were destroyed in the mishap. We reached his family with the help of his cellphone,” Harohalli police said. Truck driver fled the scene leaving behind the vehicle.
