Khanapur in Belgaum records lowest temperature in Karnataka.

MANGALORE: Khanapur hobli in Khanapur taluk of Belgaum district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 9.5°C on December 27 at 6.15am. Bantwal hobli in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district recorded maximum temperature of 37.2°C on December 26 at 3.30pm. More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 19% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 3% geographical area in the state.

Karnataka for the period December 21 to December 27 recorded deficit rainfall of 94%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.8mm in south-interior, north-interior, Malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 0.1mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on December 27, four geographical regions received 0mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.2mm, a 95% deficit departure from normal.

Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over north interior Karnataka and changed little over coastal Karnataka and south interior Karnataka. Dry weather condition prevailed all over the state. As far as rainfall forecast for the next 24-hours up to 8.30am on December 28 is concerned, mainly dry conditions will prevail over the state.
