Bangalore; 3 students of Christ College of Hotel Management killed in accident

BANGALORE: Three students died after the SUV they were travelling in lost control, hit a road median and a pole, and then crashed into a truck on the Hosur Road elevated expressway near Chandapura Cross in Anekaltaluk of Bangalore Rural district early on Thursday.

The Mahindra Scorpio was being driven by Daren (23), a second-year law student. He survived with multiple injuries, but Sujana (23) and Sangeetha Chatterjee (24), both second-year law students, and Asif (24), a student of Christ College of Hotel Management, died on the spot. Sujana was the daughter of Raje Gowga, a Congress contestant for the Sringeri assembly segment. Asif was from Kochi.

The students were said to be heading towards Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu for a joyride. Daren, the son of NRI parents, hails from Kerala but lives in Bangalore.
