I want good roads free from potholes: Siddaramaiah

SiddaramaiahBANGALORE: In the light of heavy rains lashing the city over last few days, chief minister Siddaramaiah said he would tour the city to get first-hand information on the damages to public property, particularly the roads.

“I have got reports that deep craters have been formed in many places in the city due to rain,” he said on the sidelines of janata darshan on Tuesday.

When asked when will Bangalore city roads get “tar bhagya” (like Anna bhagya), Siddaramaiah said, “Besides directing the BBMP commissioner to set right these craters, I have asked him complete filling up potholes in the city. There is no such bhagya schemes for roads. All that I want is good roads free from potholes.”

The CM has planned series of tour and review meetings exclusively related to Bangalore. To start with Siddaramaiah will be touring BBMP area visiting garbage fills, storm water drains and corporation run markets. After few days the CM would visit take BDA related matters like visiting proposed Arkavathy and Kempe Gowda layouts.

Days would be dedicated to review the progress of Namma Metro and functioning of BWSSB. Finally, Siddaramaiah has planned review functioning of Bangalore police related to the law and order and crime in the city.
