BANGALORE: Anjan Lahiri, former CEO of IT business in Mindtree, is appointed as the CEO and whole-time director of Sasken Communication Technologies effective Monday. Lahiri quit Mindtree in May after the company introduced a new organisation structure.
Sasken is an R&D technology solutions company offering wireless software products, solutions and services for consumer electronics and network engineering services.
Commenting on Lahiri’s appointment, the company’s chairman and managing director Rajiv C Mody said, “Anjan, with his vast experience in IT services will be the ideal person to lead the charge, leverage our core assets and establish Sasken as a dependable partner to enterprises who need to achieve business transformation.”
Lahiri said, “After a tremendously satisfying 14 years in Mindtree, I was looking for an organization with the ethics and values that I treasure, a solid business foundation that can scale and an area that is exciting. I see all that in Sasken and hence made a strong commitment to the future of Sasken,” in a release to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company’s share closed at Rs113.90, down 0.13% on the BSE on Monday.
