Mandya, Aug 12, 2013: Actor Ramya was overcome with emotion when she went around the town in a open vehicle on Monday, canvassing for votes for the August 21 byelection to the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency. He said Ramya was in grief, following the death of her foster father, R T Narayan. She had inevitably come for campaigning, the minister said. The State women’s Congress president Manjula Naidu was seen consoling Ramya.
Ambareesh called upon the people to vote for “development of Mandya”. Ramya spoke to reporters in the evening after the inauguration of the party’s election office. She said she had a sore throat. The actor appealed to the voters to elect her so as to strengthen the hands of the State and Central governments.
