Bangalore, Aug 12:The Department of Higher Education has collaborated with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) to launch a number of degree, diploma and certificate courses for students in the State.
The new undergraduate and postgraduate courses are as follows: BCom in capital markets (3 years), post graduate diploma in banking and finance (1 year), postgraduate certificate in banking and operations (4 months), postgraduate programme in financial applications (6 months) and certified financial marketing associate (4 months). A faculty from any interested university or college will be trained by the BIL (BSE Institute Ltd), a subsidiary of the BSE on the basis of an agreement with BIL while infrastructure to run the courses will be borne by the colleges/universities concerned.
Workshop
Minister for Higher Education, R V Deshpande inaugurated a one-day workshop at Central College here on Monday where experts of BSE imparted awareness about the new courses to the commerce and management faculty of Bangalore University.
