Dharwad, August 5, 2013: State BJP president Pralhad Joshi said on Monday that his counterpart in the JD(S), H D Kumaraswamy, had proposed a tie-up with his party for the byelections to the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Council.
He was speaking to reporters after Pradeep Shettar, brother of former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, filed his papers for the Council elections from the Dharwad Local Bodies’ constituency.
“Kumaraswamy has spoken to us in this regard. He feels that a pact with us will help defeat the Congress. Our national leaders will decide on this,” Joshi said.
