Karkala;August 05: Memorandum containing many demands such as opening of permanent bill receiving centre at Ajekar MESCOM office, a separate Sub- station for Ajekar,responsibility of the survey to be given to respective village accountants, for the protection of crops from the menace of wild animals construction of 1x 1 Mtr trenches inside the forest etc has been submitted to Sunil Kumar, LA from Karkala constituency by Bharatiya Kisan Sangha,Ajekar,Hobali jurisdiction and local people on August 05,Monday.
Besides it was also clarified in the review meeting held at Ajekar Rama Mandira on August 05, Monday that in order to solve the problems of ration cards, authorities have been asked to visit the residential places of the applicants and only after the survey is being conducted card should be allotted and ensure that all the materials mentioned in the card should available to the card holder. Also an effective law has to be enacted against the usage of agricultural and residential lands for commercial and industrialization purpose. Reasonable compensation for the crops destroyed in the recent natural calamities and all the facilities and compensations must reach directly to the eligible benefactors.

With regards to the problems, local prominent leaders like Nanda Kumar Hegde, Yashodha Shetty, Harish Nayak, Mohammed Meera, Prashanth Shetty, Raghavendra Acharya, Shanthiraj Jain and among others spoke on the occasion.
