ANGALORE: Two Bhatkal-based men were arrested on Thursday and fake Rs 1,000 notes worth Rs 19 lakh seized.
The accused are Fazalur Rehman, 36, and Mohammed Fahad, 32, from Bhatkal town. Central Crime Branch sleuths arrested the two while they were trying to circulate the notes in JC Nagar, Bangalore.
Fazalur Rehman was arrested in 2012 on similar charges. “Fazalur said he bought the fake notes from a person in Nepal,” CCB police said.
