Some important portions of Rajinikanth’s Tamil action film 2.o, the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, will be shot at the popular Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here from Thursday.

“Some high-octane action sequences will be shot in this schedule, which will last for over a month. Some key portions will be shot at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the rest will be shot in and around the city,” a source from the film’s unit

These action sequences will feature Rajinikanth and the film’s antagonist Akshay Kumar, and will be shot in a section of the stadium, which is also hosting the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016.

“The team has erected massive and expensive sets to shoot this action portion,” the source added.

Directed by Shankar, 2.o also co-stars Amy Jackson.

The project, which is being shot in 3D, is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman will score the music for the film. Ace cinematographer Nirav Shah will be the man behind the lens.
