BANGALORE: A posse of CBI officials will soon arrive in Bangalore and collect the papers including charge sheet filed by JP Nagar police in the murder case of PayalSurekha, who was found dead inside her JP Nagar apartment, South Bangalore in 2010.Apex court last week ordered CBI inquiry into the case.

Deen Dayal Surekha, Payal’s father had approached Supreme Court seeking its intervention in handing the case to CIB. Speaking exclusively to TOI over phone from Assam, Deen Dayal Surekha told that he suspects his son in law behind the gruesome killing. “JP Nagar police have arrested James Kumar saying he is the murderer. But the issue is more than James and it is evident that more than one person had attacked my daughter,” he said.

In their charge sheet, JP Nagar police said that James, who was insulted by Anant Narayan Mishra, Payal’s husband, killed the innocent woman to avenge.

Later, Anant had taken away all the insurance amount from Dell, where Payal worked.

“Prima facia it looks like more than one assailant attacked Payal when she was murdered. But we strongly feel that the case is beyond James and someone else is the master mind,” police sources said.
