Four suspected Bodo militants arrested by cops in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru, June 13: Four wanted suspected Bodo militants were arrested from a house here on Saturday, June 13th, in a joint operation, conducted by the state internal security division and Assam Police.

The suspected militants, are identified as Sandan Basumatri, Naseen Basumatri, Jibal Nursey and Tomar Basumatri.  Aged in their twenties, they were working in a factory at Peenya Industrial area here and hiding in the city for the past one year, said the police.

Police added that, they would be produced before the magistrate for transit to Assam. Rajgopalnagar police have registered a case and are investigating.

Earlier, in January the city police had arrested top Bodo militant, Bikhang Basumatri, who was allegedly involved in the December violence in Assam. Basumatri was linked to the murder of eight Adivasis at Lungsung on December 23rd, 2014 and also six Hindi-speaking persons at Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district on January 16th, 2013.
