The simultaneous raids were carried out in Anekal, Challakere, Chitradurga and Belagavi districts and officials seized assets worth Rs 3.7 crore from them.
The officials raided are: PLD Bank Manager in Anekal Y Venkat Raju, Assistant Sub-Inspector attached to Nayakanahatti police station in Challakere M Rehamathullah, Accounts Superintendent at Panchayat Raj Engineering Division in Chitradurga Thimma Bovi and Joint Director of District Industrial Centre in Belagavi K P Parameshwarappa.
Police found seven properties in the names of PLD Bank Manager Venkat Raju and his family members in and around Bommasandra. The documents pertaining to immovable properties worth Rs 1.62 crore were seized from Raju’s house.
The bank manager owns prime properties in Janata Colony, Vidyanagar near Bommasandra and in Anekal Taluk. The Lokayukta police also seized gold and silver articles worth Rs 17.17 lakh and Rs 66,000 in cash.
The Assistant Sub-Inspector attached to Nayakanahatti police station Rehamathullah owns 13 sites in Challakere and Molakalmuru worth Rs 35.80 lakh.
Similarly, Accounts Superintendent at Panchayat Raj Engineering Division in Chitradurga Thimma Bovi owns agricultural land and sites in and around Chitradurga worth Rs 67 lakh. He also owns movable properties worth Rs 7.82 lakh.
Joint Director of District Industrial Centre in Belagavi K P Parameshwarappa has got 14 immovable properties worth Rs 1.13 crore, including five industrial sites in Tumakuru and Davanagere. The accused official also owns an industrial shed in Davanagere worth Rs 33 lakh. This apart, Lokayukta police have seized documents pertaining to insurance policies and fixed deposits worth Rs 15 lakh.
