Mangalore, May 5:-It has been reported that Travera vehicle carrying bundles of pamphlets accusing JR Lobo of his misdeeds has been seized by Kadri police on May 4, Saturday.
Sources said that about fifteen bundles (Approximately 1.2 Lakhs pamphlets) were found inside the vehicle and vehicle was being driven by Satish Prabhu, BJP leader. He has been arrested and released later on.
Enraged congress workers and leaders along with JR Lobo assembled in front of police station in solidarity and meantime BJP workers too arrived, sources said.
It has been alleged that pamphlets highlighting JR Lobo’s failure when he was employed with Government office. Pamphlets were being transported in travera driven by Satish Prabhu in the intention of distributing to voters.
Acting on tip off Kadri police have seized the vehicle and took the vehicle under their custody.
However according to Satish Prabhu,BJP ,Mangalore south constituency election observer denied all the allegation against him and said that neither pamphlets were printed by BJP against congress nor he has been arrested and this only a false propaganda by opposition parties to tarnish the image of BJP,he clarified..
Shreekar Prabhu, President Mangalore south constituency said in his statement that BJP got no connection about what had appeared in the section of paper and not even case has been registered in this connection. These were all ploy by the opposition parties to dent the image of BJP,he clarified.
