Bantwal, Aug 19: The Mosaru Kudike festivities related to Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations was held in various places in Bantwal, B C Road, Kalladka, Thumbe, Farangipet with a grandeur on August 19 Monday.
The festivities comprised of various sports, religious programmes and Krishna vesha competition at Sri Raktheshwari Temple premises of B C Road from morning.
The devotees carried the palanquin with photo of Lord Sri Krishna in the procession commenced from Krishna Mutt located at Thyagraj Road via Car Street, Market Road and concluded at SVS Primary School ground.
The youths broke the Mosaru kudike tied throughout the lane by forming pyramids.
Mosaru Kudike at Kalladka:
The 82nd annual Mosaru Kudike festivities at Kalladka was organized under the aegis of Sri Rama Mandira in a grand manner from Monday evening.
The procession of deity was taken from Bhajana Mandir to Karingana Cross and returned back through same route and culminated at Kalladka Shool ground.
Tableaux sponsored by various Hindu outfits, accompanied by musical band and little kids dressed in Krishna costumes attracted additional attention during this procession.
RSS leader Dr Prabhakar Bhat, former MLAs, K Padmanabha Kottary and A Rukmaya Poojary, VHP leader Jithendra Kottary, ZP member Chennappa Kotian, TP member Dinesh Amtoor and others participated in the procession.
