Bantwal, August 19: By any means, it is quite impossible to avoid the traffic jam on the National Highway at B.C. Road. On Monday morning, the traffic which had jammed after 11a.m prolonged till evening.
In order to avoid the jam, two-way traffic was allowed on the fly-over and one way traffic was sent in a queue through the service road. But by any means, the vehicles have to wait for hours.
On August 18th, even though the traffic was less on the eve of Mosuru Kudike, it was difficult to move freely on the Highway. The vehicle’s at B.C Road were waiting till the Shanthi Shop at Kaikamba, at Pane Mangalore the vehicles were waiting even on the other end of the concrete Bridge where as on the Bantwal-Dharmasthala road a long queue of vehicles was seen continuously.
Due to the increased traffic flow, the jam could not be controlled even on the appointment of a large number of Police staff. Until the Railway Bridge is erected at B.C. Road, the traffic jam continues to be a common issue.
