Mangalore, August 16: Two cases have been filed in relation to the deaths of Shailesh the owner of Akshaya Finance, his wife and child at Urwa Chilimbi Hoigebail in the city. It is assumed that Shailesh fed ice cream laced with poison to his wife and daughter prior to commit suicide by hanging himself.

A Murder case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 302 for killing wife Savitha and daughter Vidyalaxmi, has been registered. Three others Uday, Rajesh Shetty, and Anil are facing a case under IPC section 306 relating on abetment to suicide, the cops stated.

On Thursday August 14th morning; bodies of Shailesh, his wife and daughter were found in the family’s residence at Hoigebail. From the suicide note left behind by Shailesh, it is gathered that person named Uday and two others were responsible for this act. It is suspected that the trio had died on Tuesday.

In the four-page death note, Shailesh named several persons including Uday. Shailesh had stated that Uday had been harassing him to pay him money, even though Shailesh reportedly did not owe him anything. He was constantly asking him money that someone else had given, Shailesh said, adding that Uday even filed a complaint against him with police and attempted to slander his name in some of the media too.

“It was projected that I owed him Rs two crore and when my wife and child came to know of this, they were horrified and did not want to live anymore. My reputation was harmed in some of the media which had published a picture of me putting a garland of currency notes on a person disguised in tiger costume,” stated his death note.

Urwa Cops are carrying on the investigation.
