Udupi, Aug 08: A woman died after her vehicle skidded at Kukkikatte due to early morning rains here on Friday August 8.
The deceased has been identified as Poornima (29), a resident of Alevoor, who is working as a canteen manager at Vidyodaya Public School. The deceased is survived by her husband Arun, their one-year-old daughter and other family members.
On Friday morning, she was riding her two-wheeler to work and all of a sudden her vehicle skidded on the wet and slippery road. She was thrown on to the road, and her head hit against an electric pole, causing her grievous injuries, it is said.
She was announced brought dead when locals rushed her to Ajjarkad hospital.
A case has been registered at Udupi police station.
