Gangolli:The inhumane incidents of women and children being raped in the state are increasing which has developed a state of fear in the society .Children are sent to schools with lots of hopes to build their career where there is no security at all. It is impossible to take rest when such kind of rape cases, torture and missing cases of women are occurring continuously. Government should seriously consider the issue and the accused ought to be severely punished. Strict regulations should be passed regarding this issue stated Ms Sameena the coordinator of Jamath Islami Hind Udupi women’s wing.
Wednesday, she addressed the silent protestation rally which was carried out under the joint association of the Jamath islami hind Gangolli womens sanghatane and Samana manaska sanghatane of Gangolli. The rally which was organized against the torture and rape of women , which ordered to provide security for the women and children.
Chairman of Jamath islami hind Udupi womens unit Ms Hulsam, Ms Anjum Jahan ,Ms Gulnar, Ms Rizwana and Ms Farzana of the Jamath islami hind Gangolli womens unit, chairman of the Jamath islami hind Gangolli unit Mr Mansoor Nakhuda, M.H.Iqbal, Assistant Administrator of the church Ms Prethi Crasta , leaders of other unions, various leaders of StriShakthi and Swasahaya Sanghas and the school children took part in this protest.
A requisition was given to the Government after the procession, through the Gram Panchayat and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Gangolli Police Station. Gram Panchayat President Ms Reshma Kharvi, Vice-president Mr Mahesh Poojary, PDO Ms T. Seetha and Mr Govardhan Assistant Sub-Inspector of Gangolli police station received the requisition.The Gram panchayat members Mr Kharvi, Mr Gopala Kharvi, Mr Yunus Saheb were present.
