Vittal, Aug 05, 2014: After the recent bore well tragedy of Bagalkot, Two open bore wells at Kukkaje in Maanila village of Vittal have kept people in fear.
The locals openly reveal the failure of local administration, Which is dangerously lying open near the bus stand.
The people of vittal have still not forgot the case of the Bijapur tragedy, which claimed the life of child and not forgetting the recent case of Bagalkot wherein rescue teams are making all efforts to get out a six year old boy, who fell into an open well.
According to the sources, locals are worried about children since, an Anganavadi centre is also located behind the bus stand and children frequently pass through this area.
Reportedly, the Borewell was drilled 10 years back and the authorities had removed the hand pump three years ago leaving it useless. But the authorities have failed to close the hole leaving it openly making it a way for danger.
