Mangalore, May 1: Addressing the media persons in the press meet held at press club on April 30, Tuesday Vasudeva Boloor, AHINDA honorary president said in his speech that the decision to contest as Republican Party of India (RPI) candidate is not under any pressure from any quarter, it was his own decision.
The committee discouraged Lolaksha from contesting but his decision to contest has nothing to do with the district committee and he is representing a separate party.
AHINDA district vice president B A Mohammed Haneef expressed doubts on Lolaksha’s secular ideology. He may have joined hands with communal forces, Haneef charged.
He said AHINDA a union of minorities, backward classes and Dalits, will support the congress in the assembly elections.
As a congress leader and founder of AHINDA movement Siddaramayya is at the threshold of becoming the chief minister and hence AHINDA will support congress, he said.
