Mangalore, July 23: Demanding the arrest of the teacher who has been accused of sexually harassing a student, members of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad protested outside the St. Raymond’s College at Vamanjoor on July 23, Wednesday.
A strong refusal was shown by the ABVP to the stance of the college management in defending the accused teacher and demanded that he be handed over to the police.
The protestors further asked the College Principal to assure that the accused teacher Harish will be handed over to the police. Later, a few representatives of ABVP met the Principal, who they said has assured to co-operate with the police in the investigation.
The members of ABVP were impulsive and the police had to try hard to control them.
