New Delhi, July 23: Pontiff of Pejawar Mutt, Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to allow setting up of industries by acquiring agricultural land.
On July 22, the seer met the Prime Minister in Delhi, later speaking to reporters, he said that he had requested PM to ensure that industries came up only on barren land. The seer further said he has also made an appeal to the Prime Minister to refrain from going in for environmentally hazardous projects.
Sri Vishwesha Theertha has said that the Prime Minister has responded favourably and has assured to see that no agricultural land is acquired for industrial purposes.
