Mangalore, April 30: It has been reported theft at two houses in Kuthar area, near Konaje on April 29, Monday night and it was silent for some time, it says.
In one of the cases, thieves entered the house of Donald Lobo,Kuthar Lobo compound from behind after breaking the door and decamped with Rs.5.5 lakh kept in cupboard and one chain weighing 30 grams.
It was reported that during the time of theft, members of the house had been to relatives house in Mangalore.Neighbours who heard the sound inside house immediately informed the matter to owner of the house, who in turn came back immediately but by the time he reaches his house, thieves already made their way.
In another case, thieves entered the house of Rajesh Nair, from Kerala from behind (as in the earlier case), and stolen Rs.30 thousand and 56 Gms gold.
Since thieves entered both the houses from behind, locals believed that whole gang of thieves are engaged in stealing activities.
Ullala police arrived to the place of theft and registered a case in this regard.
