Corporation bank opens re-designed branch and SME loan cenetre at Bangalore

Mangalore, April 30: It has been reported that Corporation bank, along with launching of re-designed branch at Malleshwaram also inaugurated SME Loan centre mission at Mission Street in Bangalore.

The redesigned branch and new SME loan centre are done as a part of project sankalp initiated by the bank in January 2013.

‘Sankalp’ is the business process re-engineering and organizational journey of the bank and through this project the bank aims to build a digitally enables, customer centric operating model, which will help the bank to embark on an accelerated growth path for realizing its vision of emerging as a leading and most admired public sector bank in the country.

The re-designed branch and SME loan centre at Bangalore was inaugurated by Shri.Ajai Kumar, chairman and MD of the bank in the presence of  Shri Amar Lal Daultani,executive director of the bank,Shri K Giridhar Shenoy,Shri K Rama Murthy and Shri H S Saini,General Managers, executives and customers of the bank were present on the occasion.

Sankalp focuses on re-modelling of the existing branches, streamlining the centralized units and re-designing the core processes, strengthening bank’s alternate-channel architecture, developing bank’s human capital and streamlining HR process and grooming future leaders of the bank in its 18 month journey of transformation.

On a pilot basis for the first phase, the bank’s Malleshwaram branch at Bangalore has been redesigned to enhance the customer experience. The branch will have a specially designated staff-Corp Mitra, who will help and guide the customers at the branch.

The interiors of the branch have been designed aesthetically and the layouts are demarcated between customer facing and operations works. Automated and self –service Kiosks have been installed for passbook printing, cheques and cash depositing. The layout of the branch also includes a convenient and simplified queue management system and sufficient customer waiting area.

The SME loan centre is presently re-designed as part of the Sankalp project. The centre has now been made”standalone”which means the SME loans will be originated, processed and  sanctioned at the same place.

The work flow process has been made customers-friendly to reduce the turnaround time and the facility of tracking the application step-by-step is also made available. A special  marketing team has been set up to facilitate end to end application file preparation with tech-enabled tools to improve the team’s performance.
