Mangalore, Jul 7: A youth was rescued from a well four days after he fell into it. The incident was reported at Kadri here on Sunday July 6 evening.
Praveen from Balmatta is the identified youth in well. He is said to be suffering from a life-threatening illness and is aged around 25-28 years.
Sources said that Pradeep and Dinesh, were passing by the private well located near Kadri cave (guhe) when they heard shouts for help emanating from the well. On checking, they saw the youth at the bottom of the well. As per Dinesh and Pradeep, the youth pleaded for help and said he fell into it four days ago.
The duo then informed Kadri police, who in turn contacted the fire service. The police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the youth.
The youth was then taken to Wenlock hospital for check-up. Further information are to receive.
