Mangalore : The CCB police have arrested Mohammad Haneef alias Mohammad Ali alias Munna (30) aide of underworld dons Ravi Pujari and Kali Yogish on Tuesday, June 17.
A resident of Dera House in Uppala of Kasargod Haneef was arrested near Ullal Railway Station. Three live rounds of bullets and two mobiles were seized from him.
The various cases in which Haneef was involved were transportation of counterfeit notes worth Rs 25 lac from Dubai to Bangalore in the year 2007, dacoity case in Manjeshwar Police Station Limits, attempt to murder of Prabhakar Chowta, Manjeshwar as per the directions of Ravi Pujari and Kali Yogesh in the year 2011, threatening business at Manjeshwar, providing vehicle to people who had tried to kill Kaliya Rafiq and Siddiq in the year 2013, providing gun and live rounds to the accused who fired at Bevinje businessman M.T.Mohammad’s house.
On March 12, 2014 Haneef was spotted by the Police along with other Pujari and Yogesh aides Siddique, Nithin and Guru Prasanna. However he had managed to abscond during that time.
