Mangalore: The MESCOM recruitment process for Asst. Linemen at Mangala Stadium in Mangalore on Wednesday, June 18 turned into a chaos.
The candidates started staging a flash protest as the interviewer began to reject most of the candidates. Sources claimed that MESCOM authorities had wanted candidates with ITC certificates and not ITI.
MESCOM has been conducting recruitment process in Mangalore and Shimoga to fill 346 posts of assistant linemen in MESCOM. Candidates from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hubi, Dharwad, Davangere, Bijapur and Belgaum had arrived for the recruitment process.
The students staged a flash protest. They complained that they had waited for over two years for interview calls and spent much on travelling and stay to attend this interview.
