Mangalore, April 28: Addressing the media reporters S.P.Changappa said in his press meet held at JDS newly formed office on April 28, Sunday that he is optimistic about the victory of JDS in the upcoming assembly election.
With the victory of JDS, it is certain that H D Kumara Swamy would be the next chief minister of the state and all the unresolved problems of the people hitherto would be resolved through his astute, corruption free, scam free, transparent governance in the state, he said.
He further said, during his twenty months of governance he had done many pro-people projects, after studying the people’s requirements very closely.
With the introduction of “Suvarna Grama Yojane” Swamy had instilled a ray of hopes and in case, he gets five years of administration in his hand, no doubt he would change the entire scenario of the state through his pro-people’s projects ,he added.
Commenting on Yogish Bhat, BJP MLC, having won continuously for four times, what developmental works had been undertaken by him and what was his contribution towards the progress of coastal people, he questioned.
Whenever we raised question about his contribution to the people of the state, other than trying for mangala Cornish road, trying for pilikula aquarium etc, nothing else being heard but those are all, on the paper only and nobody has been benefitted from his projects.
But on the other hand, congress had completely failed in delivering any pro-people projects. In this context, he expressed his optimism about his victory.
Thereafter he approached all the advocates and appealed them to franchise their vote for him.
He further said that many JDS teams have started doing door-to-door election campaign and all of them assured them of their votes. Besides he has expressed his satisfaction about the success of JDS campaign.
I am not supporter of Congress….: Purushothama Poojary.
It was to the everybody’s surprise to see senior advocate Purushothama Poojary sharing the dais in JDS press meet ,when he was seen along with other advocates in the press meet held at city’s one of the hotels to express their support to congress candidates.
Answering the question posed by media reporters about his presence in the JDS meet, Poojary said I had never been working for congress but was always working for opposition parties. As I was compelled by other advocates ,I was to be there in the meet along with other advocates and which was inevitable, he responded
