Gangolli: Minister Abayachandra Jain visits break water of fishing harbor

Kundapur, June 10: Minister for fisheries, K Abayachandra Jain visited the break water construction of fishing harbor at Gangolli on Tuesday evening and conducted inspections regarding the progress.

Speaking at a programme held at the area, he said “being a person from coastal belt, I know how difficult the life of fisherman is, I’m always willing to serve fishermen.”

“The pressure on Malpe Bunder is going to reduce after the construction of Gangolli Bunder. The state Govt. will respond to the development works and getting an amount of Rs 102 crore sanctioned to the Break water construction in the Cabinet is my responsibility,” he said.

He also said Rs. 62 crore will be allotted in next budget for providing Kerosene to Nadadoni fishermen.

Byndoor Minister, K. Gopal Poojari presented an introductory speech.

On this occasion, checks and as well as lifesaving kit were distributed to beneficiaries.

Ganapati Bhat, K. S. Veerappa Gowda, Hasiminu businessman Surendra Kharvi, B.K. Shetty, Keshav Kunder and others were present.

Fisheries Department Deputy Director Ravi welcomed and hosted the program.
