Eshwar Salian dies at Bangalore hospital after getting injured in an accident

Mangalore, Jun 10: The entrepreneur of the famous food hub Sri Guru Home Products, at Urva Chilimbi in the city, K. Eshwar Salian breathed his last at a hospital in Bangalore on June 9.

Eshwar Salian (57) had been admitted into a private hospital in the state’s capital, after suffering extensive injuries in a car accident that occurred at Channarayapatna in Hassan district on Friday June 6. He has left behind wife, a son, and a daughter.

The car, which was driven by Eshwat’s son, Rakshit, hit a truck moving ahead at Channarayapatna. Serious injuries were suffered by Eshwar, his son, wife, and a relative, who were travelling in the car. While the others showed improvement, Eshwar, who showed some progress in health condition on Sunday night, developed complications on Monday morning and breathed his last.

Eshwar had earlier registered his wish to donate his eyes and accordingly his eyes were donated through a hospital in Bangalore. Eshwar had functioned as the president of Billava Sangha, Ashok Nagar in the city for several years, and had got involved with various social, cultural, and religious organizations.

A number of dignitaries including health minister, U T Khadar, Dr B G Suvarna, honorary president of Billava Sangh Ashok Nagar and others have expressed shock at the untimely death of Salian, and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
