SFI protest: demand to establish District Education Regulating Bureau

Kundapur, May 29: “Admission process to various collages is on the go. Private Educational Institutions and some Govt. Educational Institutions are attracting huge amounts in the form of donations without following the rules and regulations of the Govt.,” said SFI secretary Shrikanth Hemmadi.

He was speaking at the protest organized in front of Tahsildar Office regarding the issue. The protestors demanded an establishment of District Education Regulating Bureau to check on the donations and illegal activities.

“According to the Govt. norms, Govt. granted educational institutions can receive an amount of Rs. 500 and non-granted educational institutions can receive an amount of Rs. 600 in the form of development fees, the amount in this form cannot be demanded. But some educational institutions charge lakhs in the form of donation. The Govt. should put a break on all these activities by establishing District Education Regulating Bureau,” he said.

Suresh Kallagara, Rajesh Wadarehobali, H. Narasimha, Ganesh Das, Akshay, Afreen, Akshata, Jagannat, Ravi V.M, Prabhakar Neralakatte, Raja B.T.R, Santhosh Hemmadi and others were present.
