Kundapur, May 29: A dead body which was almost in the form of skeleton was seen floating for last 2 days on Sangam Lake near Kharvikeri ring road at Kundapur. The body had floated to the lake bed on Thursday morning and localities have informed the police about the incident.
The dead body with 5.5 ft height is identified to be an anonymous male body. It is estimated that the body might have been on the water for at least 15-20 days. The localities saw the body and thought it was a human size toy initially. Later when the body floated to the lake bed, it was confirmed to be a dead body.
The information was immediately given to Kundapur Police and they arrived at the spot, body was taken out from the water and now shifted to Govt. Hospital at Kundapur.
A case has been registered at Kundapur police station.
