Religious Conversion Activity: Police Raid House in Biyapade on Suspicion

Bantwal, May 27: On receiving complaints over alleged activities of religious conversion, on Monday the rural police from Bantwal, raided a house located at Badalam in Perla Biyapade.

A converted Christian resident of the area had recently begun prayer sessions at his home. He was accused of propagation of his faith and converting people from other faiths. Many locals had complained in this regard.

The police raided the house based on the complaint, but they found nothing objectionable taking place there.

Head of the Bantwal unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Ashok Shetty Sarapady, had urged the police to take action against the religious conversion activity which was going on in Biyapade.

A serious action needs to be taken against the conversation activity going on in the District, it is opined.
