Puttur, May 26: it is a proud moment for Dakshina Kannada, Deeksha Hebbar of Vivekanand English Medium School, Tenkila, Puttur has won the fourth Grand Award for research science project presented during the International Science and Engineering Fair-2014 held at California.
The fair witnessed participation of students from 70 countries. From India, 12 students had participated. Deeksha was one among the five students who won the Grand Award.
Dakshina was awarded for her project titled Cashew Tree (Anacardium occidentale): An Effective Treatment for Cattle Dermatitis in the Zoology category. Her project also bagged Best category and Special category awards.
Deeksha says that she could prepare this project only with the guidance of her father Dr.Prasanna Hebbar.
