Mangalore, May 25: Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s National Executive Meeting has commenced today at Sanghaniketan in Mangalore. The programme was inaugrated by lighting the treditional lamp. The meet is scheduled from May 26 to 29. Various issues including current political scenario of the nation and issues pertaining to the educational field will be discussed it is learnt.
ABVP delegates and National Executive Committee members from across the nation are expected to perticipate in the meeting. A civic felicitation meeting which will also introduce to the delegates the culture of the coastal belt will be held at TV Raman Pai Hall on May 28 at 6 pm.
Prof. Murali Manohar, National President of ABVP and Srihari Borikar, National General Secretary, informed about the meet to reporters here on May 25, Sunday.
It was also informed that the meeting will discuss and pass resolutions on organisational matters and activities during the forthcoming academic year. Even matters pertaining to safety of women students, National Higher Education Campaign, problems arising out of commercialisation of education etc will come up for discussion.
