Mangalore, May 24: HC Mahadevappa, Minister for Public Works and UT Khader, Health and Family Welfare Minister laid the foundation for widening works of the Ullal-Maani Highway which was held at Thokkottu on May 24, Saturday.
Mahadevappa in his address said, “A total sum of Rs 6.5 crore including a Central Government assistance of Rs 5 crore and State Government share of Rs 1.5 crore would be released for the project at the earliest. He said as part of the project, the road would be widened by one meter on both sides and the bus stands at Kuttar, Asaigoli and Natekal will be upgraded.”
Later the Ministers inspected the ongoing works on the Ullal-Mastikatte Road which is undertaken at a cost of Rs 2.5 crores.
AB Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South were also present during the occassion.
