Kundapur, May 20: The post of Secretary has been vacant in Gangolli Village Panchayat since a year and the post of VP Development Officer since a month. It is learnt that respective officials have not taken care of this and the members of VP and the residents have decided to stage a protest on the issue.
A member of VP informed that, on the ground of Election Code of Conduct for last 2 months, it was not possible to make necessary changes. There has been no development works since the posts are vacant.
The Members warned the officials that there would be a huge protest if the posts are not filled within 3 days.
