Mangalore, May 12: Three persons including two children were killed in a road accident between an auto rickshaw and a lorry near Suratkal on May 12, Monday morning. The mother of the children was critically injured in the mishap.
A speeding lorry smashed into the auto rickshaw in which a woman and her two children were travelling on the Udupi-Mangalore highway. Sources say even the driver of the auto rickshaw was recklessly driving which resulted in the tragedy. The driver too died in the mishap. All the three died on the spot.
The critically injured woman has been admitted to a private hospital. The auto rickshaw was badly damaged in the mishap.
