Mangalore, May 12: The criminals in the recent case of murder of Anish Shetty near Kadri Park in the city have been taken into custody. Police have arrested four persons include the prime suspect Hemanth on May 11, Sunday.

Anish was a bus owner who hailed from Muloor in Bantwal taluk, he was hacked to death by a gang of four which came by bikes on May 9, Friday.

It was suspected that the murder was the action of either Bannanje Raja or Vishwanath Shetty gang. But later it was confirmed that the murder was done by the gang of underworld don Koraga Vishwanath Shetty. It is said that the don himself had telephoned from Dubai to claim responsibility for the killing stating his men carried out the murder.

Through investigation it is known that Anish had several cases registered against him and was a rowdy sheeter. He used to threaten businessmen for extortion in the name of Koraga Shetty. Anish however never handed over the amount collected in the name of Shetty and hence angering the latter resulting in the murder.
