Mangalore, May 9: The Astapavitra Nagabrahma Mandalotsava was held with grandeur at Alake Shri Nagabrahma Temple and Kallurti Panjurli Daivastana on May 8, Thursday.
Various rituals like renovation, Bimba Pratishtapane, Brahmakalashotsava and Ashta Pavitra Nagamandalotsava was started from May 1 and will continue till May 10.
Delivering the benedictory speech, Sri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Sri Subrahmanya Mutt said that one can witness the innovation through the spiritual values of Tulunadu. Specially by worshipping Lord Naga, one can attain peace in life. He also said that human being’s wish to attain divinity and fear of sin makes a man to work for the good.
DK District in charge minister Ramanath Rai said that the worshipping of serpent god will make life of tuluvas better.
Sri Mohandasa Paramahamsa Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Manila delivered the benedictory speech. Vidhan Parishat member Bharathi Shetty presided over the event. M Balakrishna Shetty, principal of Kateel Shri Durgaparameshwari First Grade College delivered the religious speech.
