Kundapur, May 08: The chief engineer of the Varahi Canal project, R. Narayan has lodged a complaint against localities at Shankarnarayana Police station on Wednesday, stating that the localities are disturbing the construction work of Varahi Canal.
Concerning to the situation, Dr. Muddumohan, DC of Udupi has visited the spot and has had a word of mouth with localities and the officers of the project.
On Wednesday, R. Narayan with other engineers had come for their work on the canal project, the localities gathered and started putting forward their grievances regarding roads and other amenities. At this time there was a verbal duel between the officials and the localities. Later R. Narayan lodged a complaint regarding the issue.
Kundapur AC Yogeshwar, Tahalisdar Gayatri R, DYSP C.B. Patel, Nagesh Kadri, Anantapadmanaba, R. Nataraj and others were present at the spot.
