Mangalore, May 08: The Bharatiya Janatha Party has brought an unexpected development by expelling its State Executive Member Shrikar Prabhu from the party’s Primary Membership as well as his posting for six years with immediate effect. Adding to this, advocate PP Hegde has been relieved of his responsibility as State Executive Member of the BJP’s National Security Cell.

State BJP President Prahlad Joshi has issued the order in the wake of some ’unexpected developments’ during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, announced BJP in its press meet.

It has also been informed that the State BJP General Secretary Raghunath Rao Malkapure has issued an order relieving advocate PP Hegde of his responsibility as State Executive Member of the BJP’s National Security Cell.

Though the party did not state the exact events that led to the decision, the move comes in the wake of the release of the controversial CD containing call records purportedly made by BJP MP Nalin Kumar Kateel to a woman for a prolonged period of time. The CD had caused much rumpus, with cases being filed against Sudatta Jain and P P Hegde by Nalin Kumar for conspiring against him.
