Kundapur: Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal organized a protest on Wednesday evening near Koteshwara fish market against the Government giving 10Lakh rupees to Kabeer, the man who was engaged in illegal trafficking of cow. They also demanded the withdrawal of the murder case against Naveen Nayak of the ANF.
On this occasion there was a verbal duel between the police and the Hindu militants on the issue of permission for the procession.
Addresing the gathering, Vishwa Hindu Parishat Udupi district President Baikadi Suprasad Shetty said, “the Government is motivating cow thieves and cow slaughterers by giving 10Lakh rupees to Kabeer who died in the Shringeri Tanikodi shoot out. The government has insulted the people of Karnataka and the Congress’s downfall would be certain.”
Bajrang Dal’s Shreekanth Shetty spoke on the occasion and said that Govt. is doing a shameful job.
On this occasion RSS south zone executive member Subramanya Holla, District worker Vadiraj, Bajrangdal district convenor Sunil K.R., Taluk Organizer Santhosh Kundapur, assistant organizer Dinesh Acharya, Sudhir Moodlakatte, Kundapur chief cow protector Pramookh Subramanya was seated on the dais.
Bajrangdal taluk assistant Ravi Koteshwar welcomed and Surendra Maarkodu gave a vote of thanks.
After the protest speeches the protest rally was taken out upto the Koteshwar Pattabhi Ramachandra temple.
