Kundapur, May 08:  “We render service to society without expecting any returns. This is one of the characteristic of forums like the RSS, this also helps us to increase our knowledge and character and thus we increase our self confidence,” said RSS Mangalore unit chief Subrayya Nandodee.

He was speaking on the valedictory function of 16 days camp of service rendering training forum, organized by Kundapur sevasangama trust on Tuesday.

“An individual has to be made a good person, but this effort is lacking in today’s society which is giving rise to discontentment and unhappiness. This forum will help us cultivate that helping ability. Children can be made as better individuals in the society when they are corrected  for wrongs done in the early stages of life. People shouldn’t work for name or gain a position in the society,” said Subrayya Nandodi.

Subramanya Bhat speaking on the occasion said, “our art and culture is vanishing which is creating problems for the nation. Patriotism and its absence is the root cause of today’s state of affairs for which the society should be corrected. In this direction to make a just society teacher’s role is foremost. So teachers should learn from these forums and teach good culture to the students.”

RSS southern zone member Subramanya Holla and Sevasangama trust chief secretary Shiriyar Ganesh Nayak were seated. Keshavaraya Prabhu welcomed the gathering.  Mataaji Shreedevi hosted the programme and Chandreeka Dhanya gave a vote of thanks
