Inter-departmental co-ordination meeting at Dc’s office/162 grinder mixtures under custody

Mangalore, April 24: Harsha Gupta, DC has arranged a meeting at his office on April 24, Wednesday by calling all the important departmental heads to discuss about the responsibilities of each designated government machineries to act pro-actively and to understand the importance of their respective duties and participation, for the smooth, hassle free conduct of state assembly election process, which will be held on May 5.

Addressing the gathering he informed that in view of preventing any kind of illegalities/wrong doings in case of illegal fund transfers /movements of money, authorities concerned from the revenue and commercial department have already initiated preventive measures.

Smt.Laxmi Hande, an authority from Income tax department has explained about the responsibilities and the way how it has to be executed during election period.

It has also been discussed in the meeting, about the seizure of an expenses exceeding ten lakh and seeking a help from police as preventive step when the expenses exceeds Rs.50, 000/-.

Officials from Tax, commercial, revenue, election observers and assistant expenditure official were present in the meet.

In order to detect illegal movements/transfers of unlimited/unauthorized gifts, money, gold through seaport, airport and railways, he sought the co-operation from DRI/commercial/revenue departments.

He also said that in view of avoiding any kind of  violations/lapses in the system which is already in place and to receive authentic account of all the expenses pertaining to the candidates, department has already taken adequate measures.

He also suggested to all the concerned officials not to misuse their power and responsibilities entrusted to them.
